Siemens Mobility to triple R&D headcount in Hungary

Siemens Mobility is set to create 120 new R&D related jobs at its Budapest, Hungary location as the company moves moves forward in its efforts to "digitalise track-based transport modes".

With the additional 120 new R&D positions, the company is increasing the number of people employed in this field to 169. According to a report from HIPA, the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency, the development of driving IT systems, along side operational security diagnostics and engineering systems will all be implemented by an investment totalling more than EUR 10,3 million. Siemens Mobility Kft. is a separately managed company owned by Siemens with focused on the manufacturing of rolling stock, rail automation and electrification, turnkey systems, intelligent traffic systems as well as related servicing activities.
