Advantech Europe’s office in Milan will remain closed

The company says that its Milan office will remain closed as a result of latest developments in Italy; the Advantech IT office is also closed but people are working from home in the interim.

Amid the current outbreak, Advantech Europe says in an update that it continues to be attentive to expert advice from health officials, and to travel recommendations and protective measures issued by local governments across multiple jurisdictions.
The company is restricting corporate travel to a minimum and new safety measures are implemented across the company. These include a reduction in meetings and new guidance to help employees to work from home. And as stated earlier, the Milan office will remain closed due to the developments in Italy. “Employee safety and health remains Advantech’s top priority at this time; as of today, no infections are reported among Advantech employees,” the company writes in their update. In order to avoid short-term production gaps and to reduce the overall impact on the company’s global operations, Advantech’s production centres in Taiwan has increased their capacity to 120%. The company’s manufacturing capacity in China has now recovered to 82% output.
