FLIR Systems swells presence in D.C. region with new HQ

According to a media release, 65 employees, including FLIR’s Government and Defense Business Unit and members of the senior executive team, will occupy the building. The new facility will also double as a conference center and gathering hub to support the company’s “largest customer,” the U.S. Government, along with investors and regulators in the region. The space will feature a high-tech showroom to demonstrate FLIR sensing solutions for customers. In an email to Evertiq, FLIR spokesperson Tim McDowd said the Arlington project is in the final build-out phase, and employees from the Crystal City, Virginia location are starting to move in. The company also recently announced plans to begin a renovation project for its Wilsonville, Oregon headquarters in the second quarter of 2019. FLIR is an industrial technology company focused on intelligent sensing solutions for defense, industrial, and commercial applications. Founded in 1978, the company is based in Wilsonville, Oregon.
