TSMC board approves capacity expansion
The board of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has approved capital appropriations of approximately USD 4.101 billion.
This is to be used to expand capacity for advanced-node manufacturing. Furthermore, the foundry plans to convert certain logic capacity to specialty technologies, as well as provide R&D capital investments and sustaining capital expenditure.
