ST-Ericsson with management shuffle

ST-Ericsson announces changes in senior management team.

Ronen Ben-Hamou has been appointed as head of the company's System Silicon Development and Thin Modem Solutions groups, reporting to president and CEO Didier Lamouche. "This is a new step in our plans to develop an organization focused on time-to-market, execution and ultimately sustainable profitability," said Didier Lamouche, president and CEO of ST-Ericsson. "With his extensive background in semiconductor and wireless platforms from an R&D and execution point of view, I feel confident that Ronen will be able to drive the delivery of some of our company's key programs in a timely, efficient manner." Ronen Ben-Hamou joined ST-Ericsson in April 2011 after having led the modem business unit of a large semiconductor company. Staffan Iveberg will remain as head of Thin Modem Solutions group, reporting to Ronen Ben-Hamou. Louis Tannyeres, previously in charge of the System Silicon Development group, will focus full-time on his strategic role of Chief Chip Architect, reporting to Didier Lamouche. Jörgen Lantto, executive vice president, chief technology officer and strategy, has decided to return to Ericsson. A new executive vice president and CTO of ST-Ericsson, appointed by Ericsson, will be announced shortly. "On behalf of the whole senior management team, I wish to deeply thank Jörgen for the significant contribution given to ST-Ericsson even before the inception of the company. Jörgen has been one of the main drivers of the birth of our joint-venture and, thanks to his strong experience in mobile platforms and in operators' relationships, of our technology roadmap," said Lamouche.
