Nexperia grows revenue for another quarter without its Chinese units

Nexperia’s third-quarter revenue rose 9.3% from the previous quarter to USD 389 million. The Dutch chipmaker is rebuilding its business without its Chinese subsidiaries, which it no longer controls.

Revenue grew across all business groups, driven by recovering customer demand and production capacity, according to a press release from Nexperia. Operating cash flow came to USD 55 million, and cash and cash equivalents rose by USD 27 million from the second quarter to USD 446 million.

The figures exclude Nexperia’s Chinese entities, which the company deconsolidated with effect from 1 October 2025 after losing actual control over them. That’s why the release compares only with the previous quarter and gives no year-on-year figures.

“Despite the significant impact on our revenue, profitability and operations caused by Nexperia China continuing to operate outside our governance framework, we have continued to strengthen our business, generate cash and invest for the future. Our focus is not simply on recovering from the disruption we faced since the end of 2025, but on building a stronger and more resilient Nexperia for the future,” says interim CEO Stefan Tilger.

To replace the lost capacity, Nexperia is expanding its back-end production in Malaysia and the Philippines. Around 55 billion units of annual capacity had been installed by October, and around 7,000 square metres of new production space has been added in Malaysia. The company is also building out external partnerships. In September, it signed a strategic partnership with Tata Electronics covering wafer fabrication, assembly and test, and earlier this year it announced a collaboration with US foundry Polar Semiconductor.

The company says that it will continue to invest in R&D between 2026 and 2030, strengthening the essential technologies while also advancing next-gen solutions including wide-bandgap technologies, modules and power-management ICs.

Nexperia expects revenue growth to strengthen further in the fourth quarter. The company has still not published its full-year results for 2025.
