Silicon Box passes 1 billion units, targets 2 billion by year-end
Silicon Box has shipped more than 1 billion units from its panel-level packaging factory in Singapore, ten times as many as a year ago, when it passed 100 million. The company expects to reach 2 billion units by the end of 2026.
Both revenue and production volumes at the Singapore plant have increased tenfold over the past twelve months. Customers span AI and high-performance computing, automotive, mobile, robotics and space technology, According to a press release from Silicon Box.
Reaching the year-end target would mean shipping as many units in the last three months of 2026 as in the company's entire history so far.
“We ramped revenue and production volume by ten times in the past twelve months at our Singapore factory, all while maintaining industry-beating yield in advanced, panel-level packaging,” says Dr. Byung Joon (BJ) Han, co-founder and CEO of Silicon Box. “This achievement is a testament to our cutting-edge technology and the hard work of all teams at Silicon Box. We are scaling advanced packaging at panel scale in Singapore and beyond to Italy.”
The company's USD 300 million capacity expansion at the Tampines Wafer Park in Singapore, which began in May, is proceeding as planned, with full capacity installed by 2028. Silicon Box also expects to double its workforce during 2026 and says it is on track to do so.
