Helios secures multi-year contract with Indian Motorcycle
In connection with the new relationship, Helios Technologies’ operating company, Enovation Controls, has acquired certain assets of Radio Sound, Inc., including intellectual property and technology capabilities.
Helios Technologies, a Florida-based company, has announced that it has been awarded a multi-year contract to provide advanced electronics solutions to Minnesota-headquartered Indian Motorcycle. In connection with the new relationship, Helios’ operating company, Enovation Controls, has acquired certain assets of Radio Sound, Inc., including intellectual property and technology capabilities that will support this new business and provide Helios with opportunities to expand its electronics solutions across its broader customer base, according to a media release.
The acquisition of certain Radio Sound assets will add advanced audio system products and design capabilities to Helios' existing electronics portfolio. Radio Sound brings expertise in amp-on-speaker technology, automotive audio bus (A2B) communication, automatic speaker detection, custom enclosure design, vehicle-to-vehicle communication, and antenna technologies. Helios expects to integrate the acquired intellectual property and capabilities into its Electronics segment, providing a foundation to develop additional solutions for current and prospective customers, the media release said.
“This is exactly the type of strategic win we envisioned when we laid out The CORE Strategy at our Investor Day,” said Sean Bagan, President & Chief Executive Officer of Helios. “We are expanding the offerings of our Electronics segment, increasing the value we can provide to an important returning customer, and adding differentiated technology and intellectual property that can be leveraged across our broader customer base.”
“By combining Radio Sound’s technology with Helios’ industry-leading engineering, software, and electronics expertise, we can deliver a more comprehensive and differentiated solution for them while creating a scalable platform that expands our opportunities across the recreational and other attractive end markets,” said Billy Aldridge, President, Electronics of Helios.
