Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC – Masdar and Luxcara, an independent German asset manager for energy-transition infrastructure projects, have signed an MoU to establish a strategic partnership focused on battery energy storage and offshore wind projects in Germany and beyond.
The agreement will see the companies explore joint investment in excess of EUR 5 billion in battery storage, offshore wind and potentially other technologies, Luxcara said in a press release.
“This agreement with Luxcara gives us the opportunity to deepen that presence, while bringing together two technologies that will be increasingly important to the future of power: large-scale renewable generation and battery storage,” Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, Chief Executive Officer of Masdar, said. “By combining Masdar’s global investment and development experience with Luxcara’s strong capabilities in the European market, we see significant potential to create long-term value while supporting a more secure and resilient energy system.”
