SiMa.ai, Ark Electronics partner to advance autonomous drones

By pairing SiMa.ai’s platform with ARK Electronics technology drones and robotics expertise, the partnership aims to deliver a uniquely complete Physical AI foundation, priced for mass-market commercial, industrial, agriculture, and defense deployment at scale.

SiMa.ai and ARK Electronics have announced a strategic partnership to accelerate the deployment of next-generation autonomous drones. The US-based companies are launching the ARK-SiMa.ai Modalix MLSoC Bundles to simplify the development of intelligent drones for commercial and defense markets.

The SiMa.ai Physical AI platform combines hardware and software in one purpose-built offering: the Modalix System-on-Module (SoM), built on the Modalix MLSoC, and Palette Neat, an agentic development environment that compresses AI development from months to days, according to a press release.

By pairing SiMa.ai’s platform with ARK Electronics technology drones and robotics expertise, the partnership aims to deliver a uniquely complete Physical AI foundation, priced for mass-market commercial, industrial, agriculture, and defense deployment at scale.

“The drone market is at an inflection point, and winning programs will be built on platforms that pair globally trusted hardware with best-in-class AI compute,” said Durga Peddireddy, VP of Strategic Business Development and Partnerships, SiMa.ai. “With ARK Electronics, we are delivering the ecosystem a complete US-made, affordable solution for intelligent autonomy without compromising on performance or trust.”

“Autonomous intelligence is the next frontier for drones across defense, agriculture, and commercial applications,” said Alex Klimaj, CEO, ARK Electronics. “By building and validating this joint solution on SiMa.ai's Physical AI platform, we give our customers a purpose-built Physical AI foundation, with exceptional performance per watt and familiar form factors, so they can develop faster and deploy at scale.”
