Global semiconductor sales hit $403 billion in Q2
Global semiconductor sales reached USD 403.3 billion in Q2 2026, a 35.1% increase compared to Q1, according to the Semiconductor Industry Association. Monthly sales in June alone came in at USD 134.5 billion – up 123.6% YoY and 9.7% from May.
The SIA expects full-year 2026 sales to exceed USD 1.5 trillion, with Q2 substantially outpacing the first quarter, according to a press release from the organisation.
Growth was broad-based across regions. Year-on-year sales in June were up in the Americas at 160.9%, Asia Pacific at 124.4%, China at 112.8%, Europe at 75.2% and Japan at 39%. Month-on-month, all regions posted increases, led by China at 10.4%.
"Global chip sales are expected to exceed USD 1.5 trillion in 2026, with Q2 sales substantially outpacing sales in Q1 2026. Strong sales across the Americas, the Asia Pacific region, and China continue to drive market growth," said John Neuffer, President and CEO of SIA.
