Macnica ATD Europe acquires Indesmatech

The semiconductor distributor Macnica ATD Europe has acquired Indesmatech, a pan-European technology consulting company specializing in semiconductor representation, design-in support, and consulting. With the acquisition, Macnica ATD Europe expands its existing European presence to include established operations in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, the United Kingdom, and Poland. Founded in 2014 by Soren Manicus and Rune Domsten, Indesmatech follows a so-called "REP 2.0" model that combines marketing, design support, production and supply chain management, direct pricing, and project-based CTO support. The company's focus areas include IoT, communications and power, embedded computing, memory and ASIC solutions, as well as audio and sensor applications. "The merger with Macnica ATD Europe gives Indesmatech the opportunity to further scale the model we have built around early customer engagement, technical trust, and ecosystem collaboration," said co-founder Soren Manicus. The go-to-market strategies of both companies are considered closely aligned. While Macnica ATD Europe pursues an architecture-oriented solution approach, Indesmatech brings a complementary project-oriented model that supports customers from chip technology selection to system-level implementation. According to the press release, the acquisition is expected to enable Macnica ATD Europe to engage earlier in the customer design cycle and better convert design opportunities into commercial success. "Indesmatech brings exactly the kind of early customer engagement, technical depth, and regional access that will help us further accelerate our design-in successes in Europe," said Björn Krasemann, Vice President of Sales at Macnica ATD Europe. "The company's strength in early customer engagement, its relationships in the Nordic countries and Northern Europe, and its engineering-driven approach naturally complement our commercial and technical team." Macnica ATD Europe is the European division of the Japanese semiconductor distributor Macnica Holdings. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed
