BEL and BMIT strengthen India's defense technology

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) and Bit Mapper Integration Technologies (BMIT) have entered into a strategic partnership to develop and produce advanced electronic solutions for the defense and aerospace sectors. The two Indian companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) covering collaboration in the design, development, and manufacturing of electronic modules, subsystems, and complete systems, with a focus on key technologies such as electronic warfare (EW), naval radar systems, and drones. The aim of the cooperation is to strengthen local development and production capabilities in critical technology areas of national defense and reduce dependence on foreign solutions. BEL is a state-owned enterprise with a broad product portfolio of over 600 solutions, including radar systems, communication and networking technologies, weapon systems, and applications in electronic warfare, avionics, and security technology. BMIT specializes in the development and production of custom electronic and electro-optical systems, serving industries such as defense, aerospace, and industrial applications. Through this partnership, both companies aim to combine their expertise to develop advanced technologies for the defense sector while expanding India's position in this strategically important market
