Ioncor plans cutbacks – up to 145 jobs may disappear

The Finnish battery manufacturer Ioncor Oy is initiating change negotiations that could result in up to 145 employees losing their jobs, reports Yle. The background is described as reduced demand from the automotive industry, leading to fewer orders for contract-manufactured batteries. Most of the reductions are expected at the company's factory in Salo, affecting over a hundred positions, while fewer than 20 employees are affected at the plant in Nystad.
