Morrow and JR Energy Solutions join forces

Morrow Batteries and JR Energy Solution have signed a cooperation memorandum to launch electrode production services in a foundry model for the European market. The project aims to shorten the time-to-market for new battery technologies and increase local component availability. The partnership combines JR Energy Solution's foundry-model expertise with Morrow's 1 GWh production capacity and proprietary LFP and LNMO cell technologies. It focuses on offering European battery manufacturers locally produced, high-quality components to accelerate product launches. The collaboration will center on Morrow's Arendal plant, integrating it with JR's operational model to build a scalable European electrode production center. Executives from both companies emphasized that this move is about building critical infrastructure to drive European battery innovation and shorten supply chains for the coming decade
