Flower takes on first large-scale battery storage project in Germany

The Swedish energy technology company Flower has acquired a ready-to-build battery storage project (BESS) with a capacity of 63 MW and 257 MWh in Döllnitz (Saxony-Anhalt). The acquisition was made via an agreement with the renewable energy company CCE. Flower will assume responsibility for financing, construction (EPC), operation, and marketing of the facility, continuing its development. The project already has grid connection and all necessary permits, with construction start planned for 2027 and commissioning for 2028.
