Analog Devices opens new factory in Thailand

The US semiconductor manufacturer Analog Devices has opened a new facility in Thailand, as announced in a company statement dated March 19, 2026. This site expands capacity for testing and packaging processes and enhances one of the company's key backend locations, furthering ADI's goal to grow its manufacturing footprint in the Asia-Pacific region. The plant specifically increases capabilities in testing, wafer-level processing, chip-scale packaging, and final IC tests, while adding cleanroom and manufacturing space. It emphasizes greater automation and digital manufacturing technologies, forming part of ADI's hybrid manufacturing strategy that integrates internal facilities with external foundry and OSAT partners. The Thailand site, operational since 2000, is a crucial hub for industrial, automotive, communications, consumer, and digital health markets. According to executives, the expansion aims to strengthen the supply chain, improve flexibility, and boost sustainability—targeting LEED Platinum certification and using low-carbon liquid nitrogen to reduce the CO₂ intensity of testing processes
