BMW will deploy humanoid robots in German production

BMW Group is bringing Physical AI to Europe and launching a pilot project with humanoid robots at its Leipzig plant. The goal, according to a company press release, is to integrate humanoid robotics into series vehicle production and explore new applications in battery and component manufacturing. This first European pilot, conducted with long-term partner Hexagon, follows a successful trial in the US.
