NanoSphere and Neapco Europe cooperation

The joint project carried out by the NanoSphere and Neapco Europe consortium focuses on developing drive components for electric vehicles. The initiative aims to design and implement a new generation of drive shafts, tailored to the demands of electromobility, including durability, manufacturing precision, and production efficiency. NanoSphere's scope of work involves developing technology for the precise surface preparation of metal components using laser ablation, which is crucial for the quality and reliability of the shafts and for optimizing automotive production processes. The company emphasizes the project's commercial nature, with a business model involving the sale of developed intellectual property rights to the consortium leader, Neapco Europe, enabling direct monetization of R&D results and technology transfer to industry. The total project value is PLN 45.56 million, with EU funding contributing PLN 10.68 million and the remainder financed by the consortium partners. "We are not slowing down. We are entering another R&D project, delivering innovative laser ablation technology for EV components. We combine science with industrial implementation because we are interested in solutions that build a real market advantage.
