Anglia Components is signaling extended lead times for some electronic components due to increased demand in the UK and Europe. The distributor notes a clear uptick in inquiries and sales since late 2025, aligning with earlier forecasts. Some suppliers have begun extending lead times in specific product categories, such as MEMS semiconductors, partly driven by demand from areas like AI data centers, which is shifting production toward higher-margin products like high-bandwidth memory. Initial price increases of 3-5% have appeared in select market segments, though not universally. After years of inventory reduction, channel stockpiles are largely depleted, which, amid rising demand, could lead to shortages and further lead time extensions. The company strongly recommends placing orders now before manufacturers close their books for 2026
