Construction start for ProLogium's solid-state battery plant in France

ProLogium has begun construction of its first European gigafactory in Dunkirk, northern France, to manufacture its fourth-generation solid-state batteries. This marks the project's shift from planning to physical establishment, forming a key part of the company's ambition to build a European battery value chain. The facility, supported by French government aid and permits secured in 2023 and 2025, is planned to start production in 2028 with an initial capacity of 0.8 GWh, scaling up to 4 GWh by 2030 and potentially reaching 48 GWh in the long term
