Neways begins deliveries to Saab

EMS supplier Neways has begun production and delivery of critical subsystems for Saab's UTAAS (Universal Tank and Anti-Aircraft System), an integrated sighting and fire control system for BAE Systems' CV90 combat vehicles. The deliveries are part of the cooperation established between Neways and Saab in 2024 and cover several central subsystems for the UTAAS on CV90 vehicles used by several NATO countries. The assignment also includes testing complete UTAAS systems for the Slovak army. According to Neways, the first deliveries have been made from the company's newly opened 22,000-square-meter production facility in Slovakia, which is intended to support industrialization and scaling up of production in line with increasing demand. Neways states that the expansion of UTAAS production in Slovakia strengthens the local industrial presence and contributes to the long-term maintenance of the CV90 fleet in several European countries
