Neways begins delivery of Saab-UTAAS systems for CV90 vehicles

Electronics manufacturer Neways has begun production and delivery of central subsystems for Saab's UTAAS target acquisition and fire control systems. The systems are destined for BAE Systems' CV90 infantry fighting vehicles and will be delivered to several NATO states. The current deliveries build upon the partnership between Neways and Saab, which was established in 2024. The order encompasses several critical subsystems for the UTAAS system as well as complete system testing for vehicles of the Slovak armed forces. This involves Neways not only in manufacturing but also in the quality assurance and verification of the complete systems. The initial deliveries are being made from Neways' new, approximately **22,000-square-meter production facility in Slovakia**. According to the company, the start of production underscores Neways' ability to rapidly industrialize complex defense systems and scale manufacturing capacity at short notice. Simultaneously, the expansion of UTAAS production strengthens the local industrial footprint and supports the long-term operational readiness of the CV90 fleet in several European countries. **"I am proud that Neways can make a significant contribution to European defense-related product development and industrialization,"** said **Hans Büthker**, CEO of Neways.
