Kongsberg delivers Protector RWS to Germany and Sweden

Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace has signed a contract with Patria for the delivery of Protector remote weapon stations (RWS) to the German and Swedish Common Armored Vehicle System (CAVS) 6x6 program. The contract covers several hundred Protector RS4 stations and is worth approximately 140 million euros. It also includes the potential for "significant additional orders" in 2026 and the coming years. This contract positions the RS4 as the standard configuration for weapon stations in the multinational CAVS fleet. The version of the Protector RS4 to be delivered is modernized compared to the Nordic configuration already in use, featuring advanced integrated sensors, the ability to mount multiple weapon types, and the potential for counter-UAS functionality
