Addtech acquires German maker of electric marine motors

Through its business area Addtech Electrification, Addtech has signed an agreement to acquire all shares in the German company RAMME Electric Machines GmbH. RAMME develops and manufactures electric motors and generators for maritime electrification, focusing on propulsion, dynamic positioning, and hybrid operation for medium-sized special vessels. The company is headquartered in Osterwieck, Germany, employs 156 people, and has an annual turnover of approximately 38 million euros. Its primary customers are European OEM manufacturers and system integrators, and following the acquisition, it will become part of Addtech's Mobility business unit. According to Addtech, the acquisition strengthens the group's offering in electrification and electric drivetrains, including solutions in higher power ranges. The acquisition is conditional on approval from relevant competition authorities and is expected to be completed at the end of February 2026
