Infineon boosts sensor strategy with ams-OSRAM sensor portfolio acquisition

Semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies is further expanding its sensor business by acquiring the non-optical analog/mixed-signal sensor portfolio from ams OSRAM. This move aims to strategically strengthen Infineon's position in the automotive, industrial, and medical technology markets. The transaction, valued at approximately 570 million euros, includes a broad product portfolio, intellectual property, and development and testing capacities. The acquired business is projected to generate around 230 million euros in revenue by 2026
