Infineon to acquire part of ams OSRAM's sensor business

Infineon Technologies has announced a planned acquisition of the analog and mixed-signal sensor portfolio from ams OSRAM. According to the press release, the transaction will strengthen the company's position in sensors used in automotive, industrial, and medical applications. The deal is valued at 570 million euros on a debt-free and cash-free basis, with the acquired business expected to generate revenues of around 230 million euros in 2026. The scope includes products, R&D resources, intellectual property, and selected lab and test equipment, with about 230 employees transferring to Infineon.
