Advantech bets on AI EdgeLabs

Advantech, a global provider of industrial IoT and automation solutions, has selected the AI EdgeLabs platform as its primary tool for managing security in edge and industrial systems. The collaboration aims to address growing cyber threats and new European cybersecurity regulations, including the Cyber Resilience Act and the NIS2 directive. Advantech states it already employs secure software development practices and hardware security compliant with the IEC 62443 standard. Integration with the AI EdgeLabs platform will extend these efforts with AI-based runtime protection, enabling centralized security management in distributed edge environments. According to the companies, implementing the platform will make it easier for partners and end customers to meet CRA and NIS2 requirements, including threat detection, incident response, and regulatory compliance documentation. The partnership is part of a broader trend of strengthening the cyber resilience of industrial infrastructure in response to tightening regulations and the increasing scale of attacks on OT systems
