Ericsson extends 19,000 sqm rental agreement in Kista

The property company Vasakronan has renegotiated and extended a lease agreement with the telecommunications company Ericsson covering just over 19,000 square meters in Kista in northern Stockholm. The agreement concerns premises in the property Modemet 1, Building 9, and runs until January 31, 2031. In January 2025, Ericsson terminated parts of its premises in Kista, corresponding to about 33,000 square meters, leaving approximately 56,000 square meters for the company in the area. This termination sparked speculation about a complete departure, but later in the year, it became clear that the property company Corem extended a lease with Ericsson for about 39,000 square meters, securing their presence in Kista at least until September 30, 2030
