Demcon acquires electronics company Leap Development

Dutch technology developer Demcon has acquired electronics company Leap Development, thereby strategically expanding its expertise in electronics development. Leap Development will henceforth operate under the name Demcon electronics. The Deventer-based company specializes in RF technology, wireless communication, embedded systems, and integrated electronics development. The acquisition provides the Demcon group with a dedicated unit focused on electronics development projects and equipped with modern testing facilities. The integration is intended to allow other product development units within the group to benefit from additional electronics and RF expertise, as well as access to enhanced design and testing capabilities crucial for complex systems. CEO Dennis Schipper stated the move supports the company's ambition to offer fully integrated technological solutions, while founder Jan ten Thije remains as CTO. According to Managing Director Jur ten Brug, being part of the Demcon group enables greater scaling of existing RF and electronics competencies, opening new applications and markets in wireless systems, embedded solutions, and IoT
