Scanfil expands production facility in China

Scanfil plans to invest 9 million euros in an expansion of the company's production facility in Suzhou, China. The investment is driven by positive customer development and increased demand, particularly in the Chinese market. The expansion will increase the facility's area by approximately 15,700 square meters to a total of nearly 37,000 square meters. According to Scanfil, the company's global customer outlook improved during 2025, while sales reached record levels, which has driven growth in China. The investment plan is conditional on regulatory approvals, which Scanfil expects to receive in the first half of 2026. If approved, construction is planned to start shortly thereafter, with the expanded facility estimated to be fully operational around mid-2027. Scanfil states the investment follows its established model, where production space is expanded first, with machinery and additional capacity added as customer orders require.
