Scanfil finalizes acquisition of Italian firm MB Elettronica

Scanfil has completed the acquisition of the Italian electronics manufacturer MB Elettronica. The transaction, announced in July 2025, was finalized on January 22, 2026, and is set to strengthen the group's position, particularly in the aerospace and defense sector. The acquisition aligns with Scanfil's growth strategy to increase its share in high value-added segments. A key area for MB is Aerospace & Defense, which accounted for 40% of its revenue in 2025. The company also holds a strong position in the Italian and Southern European markets, serving industrial and Medtech & Life Science clients. According to preliminary unaudited financials, MB's 2025 revenue reached €120 million, a 21.9% increase from €98.4 million the previous year. The purchase price corresponds to a maximum enterprise value of €123 million, with €91 million paid at closing and the remaining €32 million contingent on MB's 2026–2027 financial performance.
