Through the noise: conversations that shaped my 2025

Looking back on 2025, several conversations have stayed with me—ones that cut through the daily news noise and made me pause to consider where Europe's electronics and manufacturing industries are heading. These included discussions on the risk of losing critical knowledge as the old guard retires, the inevitable challenge of component obsolescence, the broken semiconductor cycle, the logical correction in the EMS market after years of artificial growth, and a clear call to move from recognizing problems to taking concrete action to regain competitiveness.
