Hexagon acquires industrial AI expertise

Hexagon has entered into an agreement to acquire IconPro, a German provider of industrial AI solutions focused on condition monitoring of industrial equipment. IconPro has developed the Apollo software platform, used for remote monitoring of machine operation, condition, and events. According to Hexagon, the technology will be integrated into the group's existing metrology solutions to enable condition-based maintenance for coordinate measuring machines. The acquisition aims to reduce downtime and improve productivity and quality in the manufacturing industry through AI-based analysis. The integration will initially occur within Hexagon's Stationary Metrology division, part of the Manufacturing Intelligence business area. Hexagon's CEO and President, Anders Svensson, states the acquisition aligns with the company's strategy to strengthen its offering in data-driven analysis and intelligent services for manufacturing customers. The transaction is expected to be completed in December 2025, with full consolidation shortly thereafter. Hexagon estimates IconPro will generate revenues of approximately 2 million euros in 2026, with initial profitability expected to be below the level of the Manufacturing Intelligence business area. Financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed
