GPV partners with US firm East/West Manufacturing

The Danish EMS provider GPV Group has entered into a strategic partnership with the American company East/West Manufacturing Enterprises (EWME) to enhance manufacturing flexibility and meet customer requirements in the United States and Mexico. The agreement, effective December 12, 2025, aims to address growing demand for regionally aligned production amid shifting tariff regimes and regulatory requirements, including Buy America and Build America (BABA) provisions and the USMCA. EWME, based in Austin, Texas, operates U.S. manufacturing facilities. Through this collaboration, the companies will offer clients access to both domestic U.S. manufacturing and lower-cost production in USMCA-compliant regions. GPV CEO Bo Lybæk stated the partnership reflects deeper customer engagement following U.S. tariff announcements in early 2025, as clients reassess production locations for compliance and risk mitigation. GPV will support EWME in serving U.S. industrial clients needing high-volume, cost-competitive production outside the U.S., while EWME will assist GPV with domestic U.S. manufacturing programs, including those subject to BABA requirements. Both firms will retain responsibility for customer relationships in their core markets, subcontracting manufacturing to each other when beneficial for cost, compliance, or capacity reasons
