GPV links arms with American EWME

The Danish EMS company GPV has entered into a partnership with the American East/West Manufacturing Enterprises (EWME) to strengthen customer service and increase manufacturing flexibility, primarily in the USA and Mexico. The collaboration aims to meet changing customer demands related to American domestic production, altered customs conditions, and compliance with regulations such as the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA) and USMCA. The background is changed global trade conditions and an increased demand for regionally adapted and more resilient production solutions. EWME is an American EMS supplier with headquarters and manufacturing in Austin, Texas. GPV will support EWME in serving American industrial customers through cost-effective volume production in competitive low-cost regions, especially where the USMCA free trade agreement and its associated compliance requirements apply. EWME will in turn assist GPV with production capacity for programs covered by American domestic manufacturing requirements, including Buy America regulations. The companies state that their production networks complement each other and that each party will continue to be responsible for customer relationships in their respective home markets. Manufacturing can then be subcontracted between the companies when it is deemed to add value.
