Aspocomp receives EU support to expand its Oulu plant

The Finnish PCB manufacturer Aspocomp Group has received approximately €1.75 million from the EU's Just Transition Fund (JTF) to increase production capacity at its Oulu plant. The funding, provided by the North Ostrobothnia ELY Centre, is linked to Aspocomp's October share issue and long-term financing agreements, as well as its updated November strategy, which includes investments to expand the Oulu plant with a focus on PCB markets for the defense and semiconductor sectors. CEO Manu Skyttä stated the support will allow for rapid capacity increases to meet growing demand. The grant is part of a larger €10+ million investment project aimed at boosting the plant's output by up to 50%, improving quality and efficiency, and creating over 30 new jobs by summer 2027. The total project cost co-financed by the EU is €5.84 million
