Scanfil aims to complete the acquisition of MB Elettronica in January

The Finnish contract manufacturer Scanfil now expects the acquisition of the Italian electronics manufacturer MB Elettronica to be completed in January 2026, following a minor delay. The deal has already received regulatory approval, and the remaining closing conditions are expected to be met before then. A fire occurred at one of MB's facilities in Cortona in October, but according to the company's management, operations have since been able to continue without major disruptions. Scanfil announced the acquisition of the Italian company in July 2025 and sees the purchase as a key part of its strategy to strengthen its position in electronics production in Europe
