Tellumat buys part in Carl Zeiss Optronics
South African based Tellumat Electronic Manufacturing has purchased half of a PCB plant from Germany based Carl Zeiss Optronics.
Carl Zeiss Optronics is closely linked to SA's armament manufacturing group Denel. According to Tellumat CEO Rasheed Hargey the acquisition will give Tellumat the opportunity to have a manufacturing presence in Gauteng, South Africa. Price of the deal has not been disclosed. Carl Zeiss Optronics is former Denel Optronics. Today it is a joint venture between Carl Zeiss and Denel, Itweb reports.
