PCI invests in line with Rigid-Flex plans
Printed Circuits Inc. has purchased a new LDI (Laser Direct Imaging) DP-100SL system from Orbotech.
This is a step forward in high-tech fine line technology. Especially within the rigid-flex technology where the laminates are extremely thin and hard to handle. The registration is with the LDI significantly improved. “Laser Direct Imaging has come a long way. At near $ 1 million US, this is quite an investment. Yet in the past few weeks of operation we have seen a remarkable improvement in our yield, throughput, and productivity. Our imaging capabilities are an order of magnitude above what they were just a few weeks ago”, said Ken Tannehill, President of PCI.
