Sanmina-SCI axe 100+ US workers
EMS provider Sanmina-SCI cuts more than 100 employees at the Rapid City plant.
According to former employees the number of layoffs was more than 100 people. Officials at the company's headquarter did not return phone calls from the media. In 2005, the company cut its work force by about 40 workers at the plant, bringing the total staff to just over 600 workers. It's unclear how many people remain employed at the Rapid City plant after last week's layoffs, The rapid city journal reports.
