Is Lite-On to make a comeback<br>in the OEM handset business?

Taiwan-based Lite-On Technology shocked the industry by announcing its withdrawal from the OEM handset business in 2005; it then raised the eyebrows of industry watchers with an August 13 announcement that it will acquire the Finland-based handset casing company Perlos for 277 million euro (US$377 million) or 5.20 euro per share.
