Jabil invest US$100 million in Vietnam
EMS provider Jabil Circuit has received a license to develop a US$100 million high-tech assembly line in the Saigon Hi-Tech Park, Vietnam.
The company plans to build a plant in the park to assemble circuit boards, printers, data servers and medical equipment.
The plant is expected to start operating in September. In the first phase 2007-2009, the company is expecting to produce 3.5 million products annually. In the beginning of 2009 the company expects to double the production to 7 million units per year.
Jabil wants to make Vietnam its base to supply circuit board designs, manufacturing and repair solutions for exports, thanhniennews reports.
