BenQ shift focus to LCD
BenQ has restructured into three business groups.
The company's focus shifts to LCD products from handsets, in the wake of the collapse of BenQ Mobile.
The new structure started on January 1 2007. This positions BenQ into a Digital Media Business Group (DMG), Integrated Manufacturing Services Business Group (IMS), and Mobile Communication Business Group (MCG).
In addition to the original products included in Digital Media – projectors, digital cameras, storage products, and LCD TVs – DMG now also handles all other own-brand products, including LCD monitors, and notebook PCs.
