Humax invests in Poland

Korean LCD TV maker Humax invests 30 million euro in Poland.

According to warzaw business journal a number of companies will invest some 30 million euro on HDTV technology in Poland. Korean company Humax together with Neotech acquired Bel-Art (now called Tosen) a producer of plasma and LCD TV sets in March. Now it is planning to build several factories producing electronic components for the TV sets for EUR 30 million. In the investment Neotech, Tosen and Youngsung Polska will also participate. Currently 110 workers have been employed, but the chairman of Tosen and Neotech, Otti Rim said that the company will hire 500-1,000 new workers in the next year.
