Distributors in UK up in June
Distribution in UK grew significantly in June from June last year.
The components distribution in UK showed no meltdown by the RoHS directive and grew some 30% from June last year but held a steady development from the month before.
Semiconductors bookings were up 11.4% on May but electromechanicals declined by 15%.
However the summer slow-down is ahead.
"The good news is that industry fears about a "RoHS meltdown" have been overcome by collaboration between manufacturers and their franchised distribution partners," Afdec chairman Adam Fletcher told electronicsweekly.
