Ericsson receives expansion contract from Telekom Srbija
Ericsson and Serbian GSM operator Telekom Srbija have signed a USD 39 million contract to expand and enhance Telekom Srbija's GSM network.
Under the agreement, Ericsson will provide hardware, software and telecom services. The network expansion will be completed within twelve months and will allow Telekom Srbija to offer its customers the latest, most advanced GSM services. Also, the capacity in the network will be increased. Under the contract, Ericsson will provide hardware and software expansions of both the core and radio GSM network, as well as deployment, systems integration, competence development and support services. "Ericsson is proud of being selected for this very important expansion of the GSM network of Telekom Srbija, which will pave the way for future business growth," stated Bo Andersson, President, Ericsson Serbia & Montenegro. "We are confident that with our solution the operator will be able to offer its customers state-of-the-art features, services and world-class network quality."
