TTM divests of Viasource to Linkage Technologies

Nevada-based Linkage Technologies Inc., specialists in PCB sourcing, purchased Asia Viasource, a PCB broker service owned by TTM Technologies, for an undisclosed amount.

In a media statement, Linkage stated it will assume the name “Viasource” from TTM and do business under the same name. The majority of the Viasource division employees will transfer to the new Viasource, to facilitate the transition of the business from TTM to Linkage. According to the same statement, the two companies’ history as entwined partners is lengthy. A core Linkage team founded the Asia Viasource division in 2005, “as part of the then Toronto-based Coretec printed circuit maker.” The division was initially folded into DDI, Viasystems and TTM in a series of mergers that took place between 2010 and 2015. TTM’s Commercial Sector Executive VP Doug Soder said, “We firmly believe that this divestiture, which is being conducted with a known and trusted management team, is the best solution for TTM and its customers.” The new division will be rebranded as “Viasource by Linkage Technologies,” with manpower added in two key locations, including an Anaheim customer service team and a China-based team that will conduct quoting, on-site inspection and supply chain support.
