Logitech responds to media reports about acqusition
Over the weekend there were reports flying around suggesting that Swiss keyboard and webcam manufacturer, Logitech, has entered into discussions to acquire US manufacturer of Bluetooth earpieces and gaming headsets, Plantronics Inc.
The Swiss company had reportedly offered more than USD 2.2 billion to acquire Plantronics, according to a Reuters report citing people familiar with the matter.
However, on Sunday (November 25) the company decided it was time to comment on the media repors themselves to clear out a few things. Below is Logitechs response in full;
"In response to media reports and in accordance with Swiss disclosure requirements, Logitech International (SIX: LOGN) (Nasdaq: LOGI) today confirmed it was engaged in discussions with Plantronics regarding a potential transaction. However, those discussions were terminated. Logitech does not intend to comment further."
