Panel maker Innolux building 8.6G LCD fab
Taiwanese TFT and LCD panel maker Innolux is building an 8.6G fab in Taiwan.
Production is scheduled to begin by the end of 2016 as installation of the equipment began in early June, Digitimes reports citing Innolux' associate vice president and TV product general manager Hung Mao-sheng.
According to the report the new manufacturing facility will have a monthly production capacity of 50'000 glass substrates. It will produce 50-, 58- and 100-inch TV panels and also 45- and 23.6-inch TV panels in combined cutting.
